Do I need to transfer my domain name to build a website with LogoMaker?

Simplified website domain integration guide

No, there’s no need to transfer your domain to build a website with LogoMaker. You can use your existing domain purchased from another company with LogoMaker’s website package. Simply update your DNS settings to point your domain to our servers. This process essentially directs traffic to your website, which we host.

How to update DNS settings:

Option 1: Contact your domain provider

  • Contact your domain provider’s customer support. Many providers will update your DNS settings for you or provide detailed guidance.
  • Request to change your A-Records for “www” and your root domain to point to 199.34.228.59, while keeping your current domain registrar.

Option 2: DIY Update

If you prefer, you can update the DNS settings yourself. This involves changing the * and www hostnames (or @ if * is not present) to point to 199.34.228.59. Specific steps may vary based on your domain seller’s interface.

Right now, you’ll see something like this in your DNS settings:

You must edit the * and www hostnames to point to 199.34.228.59. If you have an @ hostname instead of a * hostname, you need to change the @ and www hostnames. If you see hostnames of yourdomain.com and www.yourdomain.com, you must update both of them. After making these changes, you will see something like this

Key Points:

  • No domain transfer necessary.
  • Simply update DNS settings to point to our server IP: 199.34.228.59.
  • Choose between getting assistance from your domain provider or updating the settings yourself.
